This Edition: The Timing

When?

This is the question so many of us are quietly asking about a myriad of moments in our lives.

When I sit with you, this is often what you want to know…

When will my house sell? When will I have grandchildren? When will my career or business expand? When will I find love with an amazing partner?

And on and on it goes.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on timing—how the act of clearing space has brought me back to what I am most passionate about, and where I truly want to place my focus. And in many ways, I find it ironic.

Many health and life coaches begin their journey as personal trainers, yoga teachers, or in adjacent spaces. My path looked different. I’ve always been deeply passionate about health—about taking care of ourselves not only as prevention, but also as a pathway to recovery and forward movement when life asks more of us.

My relationship with fitness began in my early 20s, after my divorce. I became obsessed—in the best shape of my life. And like many relationships, it became on-again, off-again as life unfolded.

Then came my brain injury.

There was a time when I couldn’t move my body the way I once did. A time when I was told I might never run again. And yet, something within me knew otherwise. I believed I would find my way back—that I would rebuild, step by step.

And over time… I did.

In the past few weeks, I’ve come full circle—back to health. Back to the thing that truly lights me up.

Because the truth is, when my health and routine are off, I am not living as my best self. I am not experiencing my best life. This is what keeps me grounded, centered, and—if I’m being honest—in a high-frequency state. And it’s something I now feel deeply called to share and inspire in others.

So here’s what I’ve come to believe:

It is never too late. You are never too old. The timing is always right—because you decide when it is.

And if your time is now… then it is right.

With that, I’ve made a decision. I’ve officially registered to become a Personal Trainer. This is the next evolution of my work—expanding my capacity to support my clients not just in mind and soul, but in the body where it all begins.

And yes—it already feels like something I “should” have done years ago. But I no longer see it that way. The Divine has its own timeline. Everything that has come before has prepared me for this exact moment.

Now, I’m ready.

And it brings me back to the question we started with…

When?

Because while we ask this question about so many things in our lives, there is a deeper truth underneath it:

Some of the “when” is not something we wait for.

Some of it is something we decide.

Which makes me wonder…

Is there something within you that you’ve been quietly denying?

A seed planted long ago—perhaps in a moment of humiliation, shame, or misunderstanding. Something that caused you to hide a part of yourself… to believe that a version of you wasn’t available, or wasn’t safe to express.

And maybe you’ve been asking when it will feel safe…

when it will make sense… when the timing will be right…

But what if part of that timing is yours to claim?

For me, this next chapter is the healing of a seed planted when I was very young—when someone told me I looked pregnant in my bathing suit. I didn’t fully understand the weight of that comment at the time, but I felt the shame instantly. And I became very good at covering myself up—in more ways than one.

That wound has followed me.

Until now.

Because at some point, I had to decide.

No more.

If you feel ready to explore your own blueprint—the light and the shadow—I would be honoured to walk alongside you as you make your next move.

Right now, I am opening space for three private 1:1 coaching clients.

For women who feel called to this work but are navigating a unique financial season, I’ve made available a small number of adjusted-investment spots. These are offered intentionally and on a case-by-case basis.

If you feel the pull, I invite you to schedule your FREE Discovery call. We’ll start with a real conversation and explore what’s aligned.

Nourish

Nourishing ourselves isn’t just about food. It’s about everything we take in—through our thoughts, our environment, and our daily habits.

What we eat, yes… but also what we watch, breathe in, listen to, and allow into our energy.

This is my go-to evening snack—simple, satisfying, and grounding. A high-protein Greek yogurt bowl that carries me through the night and well into the late morning hours.(Wix photo)

¾ cup organic Greek yogurt (I use Kirkland, but any high-quality option works)

½ cup berries—blueberries are my favourite

¼ cup All-Bran or Bran Buds for fiber and a little crunch

½ tsp maple syrup or a drop of stevia for sweetness

But more than the what, I want to leave you with the how this week.

When you eat—be present.

Breathe. Slow down. Put the phone away. Step away from your desk.

Allow yourself to actually receive what you’re giving your body.

And notice…

Is this nourishing me? Is it filling me—physically and emotionally?

Or is something here quietly draining my energy?

Maybe this is the week you turn off the news while you eat.

Maybe this is the week you choose yourself, even in the smallest moments.

Because nourishment isn’t just what’s on your plate—

it’s everything you allow yourself to take in.

This week's nourishment reminder: Choose what truly nourishes you. In body, mind, and soul.

Fresh Starts

(The Wealth You Can’t Measure)

Well… here we are. August.

The bridge month. The space that holds the fullness of summer here in the Northern Hemisphere, while quietly inviting us into the energy of fresh starts and new beginnings that September brings.

No matter your season of life—whether you’re a mother, retired, a student, or simply feeling the pull toward a change, an upgrade, a 2.0 version of yourself—this is a beautiful time to dream… and to scheme.

Interestingly, as a high school dropout, it still makes me smile that since university, September 1 has felt like my personal New Year. And yet, Aries season in the spring carries that same spark of beginning.

Maybe we get more than one chance each year to begin again.

And when we consider all that could be, yes—money matters. But it cannot be the starting point.

Passion must come first.

Passion is the thing that animates your life. It’s what keeps you engaged, fulfilled, and connected. It’s what makes something feel less like work and more like purpose.

So I’ll ask you…

What is the thing that brings you so much joy you can’t put a price tag on it?

Is now the time to follow it?

To shift something?

To step—boldly and bravely—into a future version of yourself?

Or perhaps this is your season to plant seeds… knowing that what you begin now may fully bloom a year from today.

When I made the decision to pursue Personal Training, I didn’t map out every outcome or opportunity. I didn’t analyze how it would “make sense.”

I simply answered the call.

Because the truth is, this has been living in the background of my mind for years.

And now that I’ve said yes, I can already feel how much joy it will bring—not just to me, but to the people I serve.

What I love most is moving you— inspiring you, uplifting you, motivating you.

That is the wealth I wake up for.

So tell me…

What makes you want to get out of bed in the morning?

What lights you up?

I’m truly curious. Hit reply and let me know.

The Connection Frequency

Lately, I’ve noticed something interesting.

The conversations I’ve been having—the ones about human connection, presence, and how much of ourselves we’re handing over to technology—are being echoed by many of my mentors as well.

It seems we’re all feeling it.

A quiet craving for something more real.

This week, I found myself thinking about a memory from long ago—walking into Woolworth’s with my grandmother or my mom. If you know, you know.

The food counter. The excitement of maybe—just maybe—getting to sit and order something.

And the people.

The woman behind the bakery counter offering a sugar cookie with such genuine warmth. The clerks who seemed to know your name… or at least took the time to ask. The conversations that lingered a little longer than necessary.

There was something there. Something simple. Something human.

And I can’t help but notice how much we’re missing that now.

I’m not here to villainize technology—I use AI to support my writing and refine my ideas—but it will never replace essence. It will never replace presence. It will never replace the feeling of being truly seen, heard, and known.

And if I’m being honest… if I read one more post that starts with “And what nobody tells you is…” I might just lose it.

The truth is this:

We are craving real connection.

And it requires us to show up for it.

To look up. To slow down. To sit across from someone and simply be.

That’s why Sisters Seeking Spirit matters.

It’s a space to return to that kind of connection—to be in the room, to be witnessed, to share, to listen, to remember what it feels like to belong without performance.

Some of you have already felt the pull to join, and I couldn’t be more excited.

And if you’re reading this and feeling something stir… consider this your invitation.

See you there!

Sacred Time

A conversation with my husband stopped me in my tracks this week.

We were at the beach—the place where I go to relax, to breathe, to dream… and yes, to scheme a little too. And while I spoke last week about sacred energy—how we spend it, where we place it—I didn’t realize at the time that something equally sacred was about to unfold.

Time.

Not the kind we measure. Not the kind we wait on.

But the kind that exists between two people in a real, honest, tender conversation.

The kind of time that stretches.

That holds you.

That asks you to listen—really listen.

As I’ve been speaking about timing this week—when will it be the right time, what makes the time right—I’ve come back to the same truth:

A decision.

And the willingness to move with it.

That’s all it takes to shift a potential.

I know this. I teach this. I coach this.

And yet… when my husband—brilliant man—reflected something back to me that I needed to hear, I froze.

Because he was right.

He spoke… and time stood still.

And in that moment, I noticed something we don’t often admit:

We don’t always want to hear hard truths from the people closest to us.

But I paused. I let it land. I allowed myself to receive it.

And instead of reacting… I stayed.

As a coach, I am so familiar with holding that space for others—the moment where something clicks, where truth lands hard, but opens the door to everything that comes next.

This week, he held that space for me.

And in that space, something shifted.

I could see it clearly—where my focus has been misaligned, where my energy has been leaking, and what is actually asking for my attention.

It didn’t take hours. It didn’t take weeks.

It took a moment.

A moment of presence. A moment of honesty.

A moment where time expanded just enough for truth to land.

The kind of time that changes everything.

This is the space I hold for my clients.

A space where time slows down just enough for truth to land… where you can hear yourself clearly… and where the next step becomes undeniable.
